Quarantini Cocktail Recipe
Who says global pandemics have to be gloomy? You see, I’m a glass half full kind of girl and I choose to find the positive in every situation. Now, while it seems the entire world is in a panic and only adding to the media’s massive fear mongering, I’ve decided to take a more light-hearted approach (I’m actually known for this *shrugs) and have a little fun!
Since we’re all staying home and watching Netflix anyway (hopefully staying off the roads) why not make some yummy cocktails to lighten the mood and get us through this stressful time!
With that said I Introduce to you…
The Quarantini
This perfect easy Orange Martini is made with vodka, triple sec, freshly squeezed orange juice and vitamin c powder pure acorbic acid which is a powerful antioxidant and promotes healthy immune systems. The 1/4 teaspoon listed in the recipe provides 1000mg (1111% daily value of vitamin c).
If you love orange juice and lemon drops, then you’ll LOVE this orange martini recipe. Same concept – different flavors!
Ingredients:
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce triple sec (orange liqueur like Cointreau)
2 ounces organic fresh squeezed orange juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup (or to taste, I like it sweet)
1/4 teaspoon Vitamin C Powder Pure Ascorbic Acid Soluble Fine Non GMO Crystals (I use this one, it’s the best) It has a sour yet very pleasant taste.
Making a Martini
Martinis are the easiest things ever to make – just assemble all your ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and pour! I sometimes like to add sugar to the glass rim.
Making Simple Syrup
1 cup organic raw sugar
1 cup purified water
In a medium saucepan combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool.
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix vitamin c power with the simple syrup
Pour all ingredients over ice in a martini shaker. Shake, then strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish and make it pretty with an orange slice.
THIS RECIPE ONLY MAKES ONE DRINK. SO DOUBLE AND TRIPLE IT UP!
